She married Anthony August Kalthoff in 1853, in Rostock, Gaffert, Stolp, Pomerania, Prussia, Germany. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. She lived in Sønderjylland, Denmark for about 5 years and California, United States in 1870. She died on 16 January 1902, in San Francisco, California, United States, at the age of 72, and was buried in San Francisco Columbarium, San Francisco, California, United States.

1830 · The Second Great Awakening

Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.


Historic Notes: 1847: Name changed from Yerba Buena to San Francisco. 1856: San Francisco an Independent City.
