Hans Frederik Pedersen was born on 7 February 1821, in Ålborg, Denmark as the son of Peter Neilsen and Maren Peterson. He married Hellen Mathilde Schmidt on 25 June 1845, in Budolfi, Ålborghus, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He lived in Utah, United States in 1870. He registered for military service in 1865. He died on 9 January 1882, in Ephraim, Sanpete, Utah, United States, at the age of 60, and was buried in Ephraim, Sanpete, Utah, United States.
