When Jorge Alvarez Medina was born on 16 February 1876, his father, Augusto Alvarez Gonzalez, was 25 and his mother, Begoña Medina Rimbau, was 25. He married Maria Teresa Escudero Guerrero on 14 May 1900, in Tordesillas, Valladolid, Castilla y León, Spain. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. He died on 4 June 1949, at the age of 73.
