He married Alice Augusta Allen on 20 January 1874, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in Shoshone, Lincoln, Idaho, United States in 1910 and Rupert, Minidoka, Idaho, United States in 1920. He died on 7 January 1929, in South Mitchell, Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, United States, at the age of 78, and was buried in Shoshone Cemetery, Shoshone, Lincoln, Idaho, United States.
