When Joseph Zundel was born on 16 October 1844, in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois, United States, his father, Johannes Penotus Zundel, was 52 and his mother, Anna Christina Lautenschlager, was 33. He married Martha Elenor Copeland on 28 December 1864. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 3 daughters. He lived in Justice Precinct 1, Navarro, Texas, United States in 1900 and Justice Precinct 1, Sherman, Texas, United States in 1910. He died on 27 September 1927, in Otto, Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States, at the age of 82, and was buried in Mountain View, Chaves, New Mexico, United States.

1845 · Oh My Father

"In October 1845, the newspaper Times and Seasons published a poem written by Eliza R. Snow entitled ""My Father in Heaven."" It has become the well known hymn, ""Oh My Father."" The song is only one in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hymnbook that referrs to a Heavenly Mother."
