When Marco Antonio Sanchez Almonacid was born on 28 February 1905, in Villapinzón, Cundinamarca, Colombia, his father, Camilo Sanchez Otalora, was 29 and his mother, Margarita Almonacid, was 25. He married Alejandrina Valderrama Rodriguez in 1930. They were the parents of at least 3 sons. He died on 24 May 1994, at the age of 89.
