He married Elizabeth Betsy Dwight on 24 December 1807, in Orwell, Rutland, Vermont, United States. They were the parents of at least 10 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Bethany, Genesee, New York, United States for about 20 years and Decatur, Green, Wisconsin, United States in 1850. He died on 5 April 1867, in Payson, Utah, Utah, United States, at the age of 85, and was buried in Payson City Cemetery, Payson, Utah, Utah, United States.
