Leon McGaughey was born on 5 February 1892, in Michigan, United States as the son of John Mcgaughey and Elizabeth Dengeman. He married Myrta Helen Langdon on 26 September 1914, in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He lived in Miami, Dade, Florida, United States for about 5 years and Election Precinct 15, Dade, Florida, United States in 1940. He registered for military service in 1918. He died on 26 May 1954, at the age of 62, and was buried in Flagler Memorial Park, Miami, Miami-Dade, Florida, United States.

1893 · The Last Public Hanging in Georgia
