He married Eleanor de Bohun before 24 August 1374, in England. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 4 daughters. He registered for military service in 1341. He died on 9 September 1397, in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France, at the age of 42, and was buried in Westminster Abbey, Westminster, Middlesex, England.
