1945 · Peace in a Post War World

The Yalta Conference was held in Crimea to talk about establishing peace and postwar reorganization in post-World War II Europe. The heads of government that were attending were from the United States, the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union. Later the Conference would become a subject of controversy at the start of the Cold War.

1953 · Veteran's Ballpark to Honor World War II Veterans

The American Legion of Lehi was assigned the task to design a World War II Memorial and was allocated $11,371.22 for the project. A ballpark was chosen and was created by Lehi City, Utah National Guard, the American Legion, and the Lehi Lion's Club. The Veteran's Ballpark was dedicated in June 1953.

1965 · The Voting Rights Act

The Voting Rights Act prohibits racial discrimination in voting. The Act secured the right to vote for minorities in the South. It also prohibits local governments from making any voting law that results in discrimination against any kind of minorities.
