He married Selma Victoria Pålsson on 8 November 1913, in Norrvidinge, Skåne, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 16 June 1965, in Vanstad, Färs, Malmöhus, Sweden, at the age of 79.
