When Oscar Joseph Harris was born on 5 April 1914, in Brown's Town, Saint Ann, Jamaica, his father, Joseph Alexander Harris, was 42 and his mother, Christiana Brown, was 31. He married Vioris Aneita Cambridge on 3 July 1952, in Brown's Town, Saint Ann, Jamaica. He lived in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica in 1957 and Greendale, Spanish Town, Saint Catherine, Jamaica in 1976. In 1976, at the age of 62, his occupation is listed as purchasing officer, agricultural marketing corporation in Jamaica.
