When Roscoe Staunton Cook was born on 20 November 1857, his father, Benedict Mowry Cook, was 26 and his mother, Sarah Ellen Ford, was 24. He died on 7 January 1860, at the age of 2, and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Woonsocket, Providence, Rhode Island, United States.
