Georges Louis Jonathan Boisot was born on 14 September 1774, in Charleville-Mézières, Ardennes, France as the son of Jean François Louis Boisot and Louise Peter. He married Madelaine Perregaux on 15 November 1799, in Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 3 daughters. He died on 19 December 1853, in Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland, at the age of 79.
