Romualdo Civitarese was born in 1844, in Crecchio, Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy as the son of Berardino Civitarese and Giuseppa Rosa Benedetti. He married Giulia Masci before 1881, in Italy. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He died on 20 December 1906, in his hometown, at the age of 62.
