1905 · The General Hospital of Mexico Opens

Age 1

Construction begins in 1896 and the hospital opens up on Feb. 5th 1905. The proposal was made by Dr. Eduardo Liceaga tohelp with sanitary needs of the growing city and surrounding areas. It has space for 600 beds, 18 pavilions and houses 4 basic specialties, including Urology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, along with General Medicine.
