1909 · The Ford Building

Age 1

The Ford Building was one of the first high-rises to use a steel structural support system. It stands at 23 stories in total height and it held the title as tallest building in Detroit from 1908 until 1913.
1910 · Upper Twin Falls Bridge

Age 2

The Upper Twin Falls Bridge which connected Breitung Township, Michigan, to Florence County, Wisconsin. The through-truss bridge spanned the Menominee River and was completed in 1910. The bridge was closed to through traffic in 1971 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
1937 · Miramichi Strike

Age 29

August 20, 1937, the Miramichi lumber strike took place. Over 1,500 millworkers and longshoremen struck 14 lumber firms for wage increases.
