Because of the number of people being killed on the roads, The National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act was made to set safety standards for vehicles and pedestrians.
1975 · Vietnamese Immigrants are Relocated to Camp Chaffee
After the Vietnam conflict the Vietnamese were relocated to Fort Chaffee. The Act that put this into action was enacted during the fall of Saigon, when the Vietnamese were trying to escape. Fort Chaffee was one of four points of entry for those that were fleeing.
