1923 · The President Dies of a Heart Attack

Age 3

Warrant G. Harding died of a heart attack in the Palace hotel in San Francisco.
1931 · The Bagnell Dam and Lake of the Ozarks

Age 11

The Bagnell Dam on the Osage River was completed in 1931. The dam was built to generate hydroelectric power to the Osage Power Plant. The building of the dam created Lake of the Ozarks, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world, and over 1,000 miles of shoreline.

Caused by the tensions between the United States and the Empire of Japan, the internment of Japanese Americans caused many to be forced out of their homes and forcibly relocated into concentration camps in the western states.
