He lived in Oil Springs, Johnson, Kentucky, United States in 1920 and Claypool, Clay Township, Kosciusko, Indiana, United States in 1950. He died on 14 July 1957, at the age of 92, and was buried in Round Lake Cemetery, Knox, Center Township, Starke, Indiana, United States.
