When Sophie Tutea was born on 29 December 1927, in Papeete, Windward Islands, French Polynesia, her father, Tereua Tutea, was 33 and her mother, Tupuaitau Rire Faataua, was 24. She married Faata TAHUTINI in 1943. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. She died on 21 January 1985, in Le Creusot, Saône-et-Loire, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France, at the age of 57.

1929 · Denver Airport opens

On Oct 17 1929, Denver Municipal Airport opens. Later, in 1964, it would be renamed Stapleton International Airport. It would be replaced by Denver International Airport, 31 years later.


Second World War. Defeat and occupation by Germany. General de Gaulle leads the Resistance from London and Algiers. Allied victory came on May 8, 1945.

1944 · The Beaches of Normandy Get Stormed

On June 6, 1944 United States forces stormed the beaches of Normandy, France. The four beaches that were stormed were Utah, Omaha, Golden, and Juno.  It gave the allies what they needed to liberate Frane, which was the start to liberate the rest of Europe.
