He married Elizabeth Naice in 1813, in Salisbury, Rowan, North Carolina, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in York, South Carolina, United States in 1830 and Monroe, Tennessee, United States in 1840. He died on 13 June 1865, in Pulaski, Missouri, United States, at the age of 78.
