When Anna Marie Olsdatter Halverson was born on 29 November 1842, in Larvik, Vestfold, Norway, her father, Ole Halvorsen Slemdahl, was 26 and her mother, Marthe Marie Hansdr, was 22. She married Ole Gulbrandsen on 24 September 1863, in Borre, Vestfold, Norway. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 3 daughters. She died on 22 March 1922, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 79, and was buried in Salt Lake City Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.
