When Paul Geiger was born on 15 September 1641, in Dittigheim, Amt Tauberbischofsheim, Baden, his father, Georg Geiger, was 38 and his mother, Dorothea Schäfer, was 22. He married Anna Schimpff on 12 September 1662, in Dittigheim, Amt Tauberbischofsheim, Baden. They were the parents of at least 6 daughters. He died on 27 November 1714, in his hometown, at the age of 73, and was buried in Dittigheim, Amt Tauberbischofsheim, Baden.
