When Thomas Phillips was born on 16 May 1784, in Virginia, United States, his father, Jacob Phillips, was 30 and his mother, Ruth, was 25. He married Winnifred "Winnie" Arbuckle on 1 April 1809, in Franklin, Kentucky, United States. He lived in Lawrenceburg, Anderson, Kentucky, United States in 1830 and Crooked River Township, Ray, Missouri, United States in 1840. He died on 12 March 1849, in Ray, Missouri, United States, at the age of 64, and was buried in Richmond, Ray, Missouri, United States.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.
