The Entente Cordiale was signed between Britain and France on April 8, 1904, to reconcile imperial interests and pave the way for future diplomatic cooperation. This ended hundreds of years of conflict between the two states.

1915 · Zeppelin Raid

During WWI Zeppelin raids took place all over England. The first of the raids happened from June 6-7, 1915, in Hull, East Yorkshire, England. During the attack 24 people were killed 40 injured, and 40 houses destroyed.

English: occasionally a variant of B roadbelt, from Middle English brod, brad ‘wide, broad’ + belt ‘belt, girdle’, used for a stout man, i.e. someone who wore a ‘broad belt’.
