Compare Libengood , Livengood , Livergood , Livingood , and Lovingood .Alternatively, but less likely, an Americanized form of Swiss German Liebengut: nickname meaning ‘dear and good’ (lieb und gut). The surname Liebengut is not found in Switzerland or elsewhere in Europe.
