He immigrated to Quebec, Canada in 1927 and lived in New York City, New York, United States for about 14 years and France in 1928. He died on 1 July 1928, in Antibes, Alpes-Maritimes, France, at the age of 46, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio, United States.
