Mette Sophie Christensen was born on 19 April 1816, in Rostrup, Ålborghus, Denmark. She immigrated to Utah, United States in 1861 and lived in Astrup, Hindsted, Ålborg, Denmark in 1860. She died on 4 May 1889, at the age of 73.
