Name Meaning

Variant of Mulick 2, a surname of German origin.

Irish: variant of Mulick 1.

English: variant of Mullock. Mullock is a nickname from Middle English mullok ‘rubbish’, or perhaps a topographic name, as the word mullok also had the sense ‘rubbish heap’. Alternatively, it may be a habitational name from Mullock in Roche (Pembrokeshire, Wales), explained as a compound of Old English myln ‘mill’ + hōc ‘hook of land’.
