When Onofre Davila Rodríguez was born in 1898, in San Lucas, Madriz, Nicaragua, his father, Davila, was 23 and his mother, Rodriguez, was 20. He married Leandra Baez Muñoz in Nicaragua. They were the parents of at least 4 daughters. He died in 1980, in Nicaragua, at the age of 82.
