1901 · Assassination of Mckinley

Age 1

President William McKinley was shot at the Temple of Music, in the Pan-American Exposition, while shaking hands with the public. Leon Czolgosz shot him twice in the abdomen because he thought it was his duty to do so. McKinley died after eight days of watch and care. He was the third American president to be assassinated. After his death, Congress passed legislation to officially make the Secret Service and gave them responsibility for protecting the President at all times.
1904 · The Black Patch War

Age 4

From 1904-1909, the Black Patch War took place. This was a war between about 30 counties in southwestern Kentucky and northwestern Tennessee. The war was mostly over the Dark Fired Tobacco that was produced in the area during this time.
1923 · The President Dies of a Heart Attack

Age 23

Warrant G. Harding died of a heart attack in the Palace hotel in San Francisco.

1 English: in most cases of French origin ( see Duval 1), taken to England by a Huguenot refugee from Rouen. It may also be from a pet form of an Old English female personal name, Dūfe, meaning ‘dove’.2 According to Black, this is also found as a Swedish variant of Scottish McDougall .
