When Kaspar Reyser was born on 11 August 1765, in Fischenthal, Zürich, Switzerland, his father, Johannes Reyser, was 29 and his mother, Elisabeta Bertschicker, was 26. He married Anna Bertschicker in 1797, in Zürich, Zürich, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 15 August 1842, at the age of 77.
