She lived in London, Canada West, British Colonial America in 1901 and Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1911. She died in December 1946, at the age of 74, and was buried in York Township, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In 1883, there was a mining boom in Northern Ontario when mineral deposits were found near Sudbury. Thomas Flanagan was the blacksmith for the Canadian Pacific Railway that noticed the deposits in the river.
