David Deming was educated at Harvard College from which institution he graduated in 1700 .Soon after his marriage he bought land in Middletown, Connecticut and there his son David was born. He preached at the church in MIddletown. He was ordained a minister of Medway, Mass. on 17 November 1715 but resigned his charge in 1722 and moved to Lyme, Connecticut. He is said to have been a tall handsome man, and his wife, who was a few years his senior was quite small but very much of a lady.
