When Thomas Langlois Lefroy was born on 8 January 1776, in County Limerick, Ireland, his father, Anthony Peter Lefroy, was 33 and his mother, Anne Gardiner, was 28. He married Mary Paul on 13 March 1799, in Llandaff, Glamorgan, Wales. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 4 May 1869, in Bray, Rathdown, County Galway, Ireland, at the age of 93, and was buried in Mount Jerome Cemetery, Dublin Saint Bartholomew's, County Dublin, Ireland.
