He married Hannah J. Henninger on 25 September 1871, in Seneca, Erie, Ohio, United States. He lived in Elkrun Township, Columbiana, Ohio, United States in 1860. He died in 1871, in Lebanon, at the age of 30, and was buried in Lisbon Cemetery, Lisbon, Columbiana, Ohio, United States.
