When Maria Mossman was born on 19 September 1680, in St. Peterzell, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, her father, Hans Mossmann, was 33 and her mother, Bärbel Roth, was 28. She married Geörg Wild on 23 October 1701, in Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 3 daughters. She died on 26 October 1741, in Wattwil, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, at the age of 61.
