1800 · Movement to Washington D.C.

Age 5

While the growth of the new nation was exponential, the United States didn’t have permanent location to house the Government. The First capital was temporary in New York City but by the second term of George Washington the Capital moved to Philadelphia for the following 10 years. Ultimately during the Presidency of John Adams, the Capital found a permanent home in the District of Columbia.
1802 · John Playfair publishes summary of James Hutton's theories of geology.

Age 7

In 1802, John Playfair published the Illustrations of the Huttonian Theory of the Earth. His influence was by James Hutton’s knowledge of the earth’s geology.
1811 · The Tron Riot

Age 16

The Tron riot was a riot which occurred in Edinburgh, Scotland on New Year's Eve. A group of young men attacked and robbed wealthier passers-by. One police officer was killed in the riot. Though the total count of participants is unknown, sixty-eight youths were arrested, with five sentenced to death for their actions during the riot.

1 Scottish: habitational name from a barony in Aberdeenshire, which is first recorded c.1180 in the form Lesslyn, of obscure origin. Leslie in Fife is said to be named for this place; in some cases the surname may come from there.2 English: possibly from a double diminutive of the personal name Lece ( see Leece ), thus Lecelin.
