Guillermo Garcia Placencia was born about 1824, in Ojo de Agua, Tepatitlán de Morelos, Jalisco, Mexico as the son of Preciliano Garcia and Cecilia Placencia. He married Maria Jesus Loza on 29 April 1847, in San Francisco de Asís, Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, Mexico. They were the parents of at least 9 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 30 September 1913, in Michoacán, Mexico, at the age of 89.
