When Maria ENGLER was born in February 1673, in Urnäsch, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Switzerland, her father, Jacob Engler, was 33 and her mother, Cathrin Erbar, was 26. She married Hans Naef on 27 September 1696. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 4 daughters. She died on 12 May 1754, at the age of 81.
