When Sarah Owen was born on 22 September 1690, in Stony Brook, Suffolk, New York Colony, British Colonial America, her father, George Owen Jr., was 18 and her mother, Mary, was 18. She married Captain Eleazer Hawkins about 1711, in New York Colony, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 10 sons and 2 daughters. She died on 23 April 1768, in her hometown, at the age of 77, and was buried in Setauket, Suffolk, New York Colony, British Colonial America.
