When Pierre Laborde Jr. was born on 25 March 1787, in Opelousas, St. Landry, Louisiana, United States, his father, Pierre Laborde MD, was 40 and his mother, Modeste LaCour, was 19. He married Modeste Gagnard on 3 May 1810. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 11 February 1843, in Avoyelles, Louisiana, United States, at the age of 55.

Because of his prominent roles during the Revolutionary War, George Washington was voted in unanimously as the First President of the United States.
