He lived in New Bedford, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States in 1855. He died on 27 February 1889, in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, United States, at the age of 70, and was buried in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States.
