He married Adaline "Addie" Brown on 16 January 1881, in Delaware, Iowa, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons. He lived in Milo Township, Delaware, Iowa, United States in 1880. He died on 24 April 1886, at the age of 26, and was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bloomington Township, Franklin, Nebraska, United States.
