When Fo'ifua Pulu was born in 1917, in Samoa, her father, Kake Pulu, was 29 and her mother, Fa'anumitalaoleaigasagalea'i La'apui, was 27. She married Mister Tulafono in 1937, in Pago Pago, Maoputasi, Eastern, American Samoa. She died in 1947, at the age of 30.
