    1812 · Napoleon Bonaparte Leads Troops into Russia

    On June 24, 1812, Napoleon Bonaparte led his troops on an invasion in Russia. He crossed the Neman River, invading where present day Poland was established. Russia refused to go against them. In the end it was the harsh winter of Russia that defeated the troops on December 14, 1812.
