When James Brown Mason was born on 28 January 1775, in Aspinock, Windham, Connecticut Colony, British Colonial America, his father, John Mason, was 32 and his mother, Rose Anna Brown, was 29. He married Alice Brown on 16 July 1799, in Rhode Island, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 daughters. He died on 31 August 1819, at the age of 44, and was buried in Providence, Providence, Rhode Island, United States.
