Caroline Freye was born on 1 May 1871, in Germany as the daughter of Johann Freye and Maria. She married Roy Lismer Hopkins on 24 September 1904, in Geauga, Ohio, United States. She immigrated to United States in 1874. She died on 23 May 1965, in Redfield, Spink, South Dakota, United States, at the age of 94, and was buried in Tulare, Spink, South Dakota, United States.
