When Russel Rossiter Kingsley was born on 22 July 1811, in Becket, Berkshire, Massachusetts, United States, his father, Eliada Kingsley, was 28 and his mother, Fannie Lester, was 28. He married Elizabeth Kelso on 1 May 1834. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. He lived in Chester, Hampden, Massachusetts, United States in 1850. He died on 18 April 1870, at the age of 58, and was buried in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville, Crawford, Pennsylvania, United States.

War of 1812. U.S. declares war on Britain over British interference with American maritime shipping and westward expansion.
Because of the outbreak of war from Napoleonic France, Britain decided to blockade the trade between the United States and the French. The US then fought this action and said it was illegal under international law. Britain supplied Native Americans who raided settlers living on the frontier and halting expansion westward. In 1814, one of the British raids stormed into Washington D.C. burning down the capital. Neither the Americans or the British wanted to continue fighting, so negotiations of peace began. After Treaty of Ghent was signed, Unaware of the treaty, British forces invaded Louisiana but were defeated in January 1815.
Being a second spiritual and religious awakening, like the First Great Awakening, many Churches began to spring up from other denominations. Many people began to rapidly join the Baptist and Methodist congregations. Many converts to these religions believed that the Awakening was the precursor of a new millennial age.
